Now that summer is in full swing in the Great Lakes State, most of us will be enjoying alot of time outside in the sun. It is very important to keep skin protected from the suns damaging rays. The FDA reccommends for the average adult a golf ball size ounce of sunscreen per every 2 hours. For children, sunscreen SPF 15 or higher needs to be applied every 2 hours from 10:00am until 4:00pm if they are going to be outside all day. A product labeled “broad spectrum” is best, as it blocks both UVA and UVB rays. One that doesn’t will only block UVB rays.
